How does the Editorial Membership work? What is the process?

How it Works - Step by Step

  1. Editorial Members are invited to collaborate on an Insight.
    1. Each invitation contains a brief description and a link.
    2. Members review and identify if it is a good fit.
  2. If interested, the editorial member opens the link.
    1. Member reads the article draft.
    2. The draft should be the latest “clean” revision (see #5).
  3. At the bottom of each article draft is another link.
    1. This link opens a document for collaboration.
    2. Members then may comment with feedback, and suggest revisions.
    3. Someone from Eventida will respond to feedback as applicable.
  4. You will also notice other reviewers commenting.
    1. Members are engouraged to engage with one another and contribute to those conversations.
    2. Above all, to have fun being a part of the Collective!
  5. Every few days or so, the Eventida team updates the article draft.
    1. First, the lead author and/or editor reviews and updates the collaboration doc.
    2. Once done, the latest version is copied to the article draft.
    3. A new invitation is distributed to editorial members to review the latest version.
  6. Members (and/or their organization) fills out the form for credit.
    1. At the bottom of each article draft there is a link.
    2. Members fill in the form with how they want to be named, and where we should link to.
    3. Those who wish to contribute anonymously can skip this step.
  7. Before publishing, we will send the contributors a heads up.
    1. All members are encouraged to take a "last look" for proofreading,
    2. Sometimes a ready-made promotion kit will be provided.
